Some college presidents in the States were wanting to lower the legal age for drinking from twenty one to eighteen. But why it is such a big deal for them?
It seems that in the US drinking is portrayed as a more mature and cool act than in Japan. It involves experience of controlling yourself, and of course rule breaking is tempting.
But because of this, university students will drink out of the reach of their protecters and will be found in ambulances or even dead without notice.
So to stop such cases organisations such as Choose Responsibility are trying to introduce and educate students about alcohol so that it will be more a element of reality than fantasy and explaining that it can be controlled.
