Alcohol has many types and the one used in drinks is ethanol.
When ethanol is taken in the liver the body produces a enzyme to break it down.
This, ironically is more a strong poison than ethanol and causes hangovers and possibly cancer.
Alcohol itself stuns the brain and iternal organs and eventually stops the lungs and heart in short term.
Underage children are simply too weak to endure such a poison and it runs in the body quickly than adults. Adults take more than 15 or 20 years to even make a sign of the effects, but children are effected in less than a few months.

4. Why most people argue with that?

NGO's like Choose Responsibility wants to make alcohol a more close object so underage children wont be tempted to take them. They intend to do it in a more steady manner, like giving out education and making students learn about the dangers of alcohol before introducing them to the true thing.
Of course many people dissagree. Possibly because it could mean the return of alcoholic advertisement and a creation of a endless loop of lowering the age.

This NGO is for a public health organisation and their goals are to reduce alcohol related dangers.
Their mission seems to make space for forums to disscuss issues or to make confrences, and to get attention of governments and local organisations to such problems.
It has a official journal, and seems to be in touch with many groups like the American medical assosiation.

2.choose responsibility

This is the one I introduced in class earlier. It's goals are to lower the legal drinking age and meld up a "self responsibility" for teenagers to drink alcohol safetly if their proposals are taken in.
They seem to get in contact with officials by sending letter and mail to them and make their group popular by voluteer work. Donations could be made via the homepage.

3.mothers against drunk driving

A well known American NGO against not just drunk driving, but also any bad cause alcohol can do which includes underage drinking as well. It holds dissusions, care for families of victims, and programs for education for teenagers.

I found out that besides "drinking" and "legal" or whatever both clouds had a variety of "ages" inside them. I somehow think it is because both young and elder pople are really debating on it.

This site is about a group who are trying to lower the legal drinking age.
It clearly mentions the dangers of underage drinking by mentioning known cases that are related to this problem that are written by the victims and is very vivid somehow.
Also it tells us that actually prohibition doesn't work and why this group is trying to make it's goals.

This site seems well but the main problem is it doesn't tell when or where their information was taken in detail. This kind of site cannot be used in research at all.
