Alcohol has many types and the one used in drinks is ethanol.
When ethanol is taken in the liver the body produces a enzyme to break it down.
This, ironically is more a strong poison than ethanol and causes hangovers and possibly cancer.
Alcohol itself stuns the brain and iternal organs and eventually stops the lungs and heart in short term.
Underage children are simply too weak to endure such a poison and it runs in the body quickly than adults. Adults take more than 15 or 20 years to even make a sign of the effects, but children are effected in less than a few months.

NGO's like Choose Responsibility wants to make alcohol a more close object so underage children wont be tempted to take them. They intend to do it in a more steady manner, like giving out education and making students learn about the dangers of alcohol before introducing them to the true thing.
Of course many people dissagree. Possibly because it could mean the return of alcoholic advertisement and a creation of a endless loop of lowering the age.

NGO
1.global alcohol policy alliance
This NGO is for a public health organisation and their goals are to reduce alcohol related dangers.
Their mission seems to make space for forums to disscuss issues or to make confrences, and to get attention of governments and local organisations to such problems.
It has a official journal, and seems to be in touch with many groups like the American medical assosiation.
2.choose responsibility
This is the one I introduced in class earlier. It's goals are to lower the legal drinking age and meld up a "self responsibility" for teenagers to drink alcohol safetly if their proposals are taken in.
They seem to get in contact with officials by sending letter and mail to them and make their group popular by voluteer work. Donations could be made via the homepage.

I should have written this post earlier but I forgot posting it.

This site is about a group who are trying to lower the legal drinking age.
It clearly mentions the dangers of underage drinking by mentioning known cases that are related to this problem that are written by the victims and is very vivid somehow.
Also it tells us that actually prohibition doesn't work and why this group is trying to make it's goals.

perspectives2. parental side.
quite a lot of parents are worried about the side-effects that drinking cause.
It is granteed to make life style diseases and making a bedrock for this in early life is simply conflicts for the role of being a parent. Growth problems are another problem that parents fear of. It will slow memory and thinking skills and upset hormone balances.
It is also concerned by psychological means. Not just that it destroys nerve cells and is a depressant, breaking rules will accelarate rebelious behaviour that is common in younglings. And because children intract with each other more than adults it could spread out drastically.
The latter is more of a problem, as you can see to avoid adult detection young people will tend to hide and could prove fatal when a problem occurs such as fainting or alchol intoxication which death happens in 1 or 2 hours.
Adult ages of the world (part 1)

As you can see in the home page, most countries' adult age are 18 years old or 20 years old. I would like to introduce some countries which the adult age are 18 and 20 years old. Firstly, the countries which are 18 years old are England, Italy, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Brazil, France, China etc. Secondly, the countries which are 20 years old are Japan, Thiland, New Zealand, Korea etc.
In the near future, we would like to discuss what is so different between 18 and 20 years old. There are also countries that are not 18 or 20 years old so, we will introduce them next time.
